Ed Gowett has practiced law in Austin, Texas for over 15 years. He advises businesses on a variety of legal, tax and estate planning matters with focus on start-up and emerging enterprises. Mr. Gowett's background includes a broad range of experience in evaluating entity selection for new business formation or restructuring existing companies. He assists his clients in evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of various tax elections in order to choose the optimal entity choice, whether it be a corporation, limited liability company or partnership. Mr. Gowett also provides estate planning services for his clients seeking to preserve wealth for current and future generations while minimizing gift or estate taxes. Ed Gowett graduated from Bryant University with a B.S. degree in accounting. He is an M.B.A. graduate of California State University and received his J.D. from Southwestern University.
