Pat Hargadon has practiced law in Austin, Texas for 30 years. For the last 20 years he has concentrated his practice on bankruptcy, representing both creditors and debtors. He has substantial experience in complex and high profile bankruptcy litigation. Mr. Hargadon also maintains a general civil practice, including creditors' rights, business litigation and collections, real estate litigation, asset and business purchases, and corporations. He has represented clients in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcies. He graduated with a B.A. in History from the University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from the University of Texas Law School. Mr. Hargadon has authored papers on bankruptcy topics and has spoken at legal education programs on topics related to bankruptcy and bankruptcy litigation. He has served on the Faculty of the Advanced Consumer Bankruptcy Seminar of the State Bar of Texas. He has spoken on creditors' rights and protection of security interests in bankruptcy. He is also a Contributing Author of the Bankruptcy Desk Reference for Legal Professionals, published in 2002 by the State Bar of Texas. He is a founding member of the Bankruptcy Section of the Austin Bar Association and former panel member of the Chapter 7 Trustees of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Texas.
